KnoWow

KnoWow is an academic spin-off born from the research experience of the Department of Engineering at the University of Messina, specializing in technological innovation, materials testing, advanced mechanical design, and environmental sustainability.

The company operates in the field of technology transfer, developing customized engineering solutions for the industrial sector through applied research, numerical simulation, reverse engineering, FEM/CFD, and virtual and augmented reality.

Among the main technologies developed by KnoWow is the Fast Fatigue Testing Machine (FFTM), an innovative platform for the automated execution of static and fatigue tests on materials, based on the patented "Risitano Thermographic Method" and "Static Thermographic Method" methodologies.

KnoWow also offers advanced services of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), supporting companies in sustainability processes, environmental certification, and production process optimization.

The spin-off promotes an integrated model of research, innovation, and sustainable development, collaborating with companies, research organizations, and national and international institutions.

SmartMe is an IT services company specializing in the design and implementation of hardware and software systems based on open-source IoT technologies. Founded as a spin-off of the Department of Engineering at the University of Messina, it is now a digital innovation company active nationally and internationally.

The company develops innovative solutions for various sectors, including Industry 4.0, Smart City, Digital Agriculture, and Digital Wine, collaborating with businesses, public administrations, universities, and research centers.

SmartMe operates in the digital transformation field through design, hardware, firmware, software, and cloud infrastructure development services, integrating advanced technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and LoRaWAN for long-range communication networks.
