Course description and objectives

The doctoral program is designed with faculty primarily from two CUN areas, 06 and 09. The program's primary goal is to train young researchers who can act as a bridge between the two areas, developing a common language to design interdisciplinary research activities that integrate information, methodologies, concepts, perspectives, and theories.

To achieve this goal, researchers from Italian and international research institutions and companies operating in the biomedical sector have been involved.

Finally, a multidisciplinary and innovative educational program has been designed for student training, including periods of research at qualified institutions in Italy and abroad.

The program aims to train researchers who, starting from technological and biomedical knowledge, are capable of conducting interdisciplinary and innovative research activities to improve productivity and competitiveness in the private and corporate sectors, in companies and industries (Prot. No. 0043777 of 13/05/2020 - [UOR: SI001183 - Classification III/6] design, production, and marketing in the biomedical sector.

Specifically, the scientific and educational objectives are built around the development of materials, devices, processing algorithms, etc., designed and developed in synergy between researchers in the two areas. Together, these form the development chain from basic concepts to the implementation of new solutions and/or methodologies.
