The Young BIOMORF Researchers

"BIOMORF Young Researchers" is an initiative promoted by the AQ-RDTM Commission of the BIOMORF Department with the aim of enhancing the scientific activities of young researchers and encouraging the interdisciplinary sharing of research experiences.

The project involves doctoral students, postgraduate students, research fellows, and scholarship holders, offering a space for scientific discussion and dissemination of research activities developed within the Department's scientific lines.

Through periodic calls for abstracts and dedicated meetings, the initiative promotes quality research, interdisciplinary dialogue, and the growth of the academic community, representing an important training, networking, and development program for young scholars.

Stretto In Carena

Stretto In Carena (SIC) is a university team founded at the University of Messina with the aim of enhancing students' technical and design skills through hands-on experiences in the motorsports and applied engineering sectors.

The project was founded by a group of young university students coordinated by Prof. Engineer Giacomo Risitano, becoming the first team from Southern Italy to participate in the Motostudent International Competition, an international competition organized by Dorna, the official partner of MotoGP.

At the sixth edition of the competition, held at the Aragon circuit (Spain) in July 2021, the team won the "Best Rookie Team" award, taking fifth place in the debut race and seventh place in the final "Best Motostudent" standings.

The prototype developed by the team belongs to the Pre-Moto3 category and is equipped with a 250cc single-cylinder engine, designed and built thanks to the integrated contribution of students, researchers, and professionals.

Stretto In Carena represents a laboratory for innovation, training, and professional growth, promoting teamwork, applied research, and the transfer of engineering skills from the university context to the industrial world. sporty.

Seminar on Personal Branding and Digital Identity

As part of the Third Mission activities of the PhD Program, a seminar was held dedicated to the topics of personal branding and digital identity, with the aim of promoting transversal skills essential for the academic, professional, and scientific careers of doctoral students.

The initiative explored personal communication strategies, skill development, online reputation management, and the psychological and legal implications of a digital presence in the contemporary context.

Through the contributions of professors, professionals, and industry experts, the seminar provided an important opportunity for interdisciplinary discussion on the topics of scientific communication, professional identity, and digital innovation.

The event is part of activities aimed at strengthening the dialogue between universities, society, and the world of work, promoting the dissemination of skills and the cultural and professional growth of students and researchers.
